Governance
Working with us
We believe access to nature should be inclusive, responsible, and well-cared for. This page sets out how we work, the standards we follow, and the policies and safeguards in place to support people, land, and communities.
1. How we work
We take a whole-system approach to improving access to nature, working across land, trails, and community spaces. Our work brings together land stewardship, inclusion, and participation, and is shaped through collaboration with landowners, organisations, and communities.
We aim to do our work thoughtfully, responsibly, and in ways that support both people and place.
2. Policies
Clear policies help us work safely, fairly, and consistently. They set out how we support inclusion, safeguard people, manage risk, and care for the land we work on.
Our key policies include safeguarding, health and safety, equality and inclusion, environmental management, data protection, and complaints. These are reviewed regularly and are available below.
3. Insurance & Risk
We hold appropriate insurance for our activities and professional work, and we take a proportionate, practical approach to risk management.
Risk assessments are carried out for activities and projects as needed, with the aim of enabling access while keeping people, land, and environments safe. Copies of insurance certificates can be provided on request.
4. Safeguarding & Accountability
We take responsibility and accountability seriously. Our governance arrangements support transparent decision-making, ethical practice, and continuous learning.
We welcome feedback and take concerns seriously. Information on how to raise a concern or make a complaint can be found in our Complaints Policy, or by getting in touch directly.
